When you install FactoryTalk ViewPoint, the setup program checks for and installs required prerequisite software if necessary, and then installs FactoryTalk ViewPoint. If any of the required software did not install successfully, or if the setup program did not finish as expected, consider the following potential causes and remedies.

The FactoryTalk ViewPoint setup program records logs of the installation process that can be reviewed by technical support representatives to troubleshoot the behavior you observed.
If the FactoryTalk ViewPoint setup program detects that Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) is missing on the computer, it will attempt to install it automatically. If the installer cannot install IIS automatically, you must install it manually before you can continue installing FactoryTalk ViewPoint.
Once IIS is installed, verify that IIS is running, and that the correct IIS subcomponents are enabled:
